Dear Clients and Friends,

We recently released our August 2020 Client E-Newsletter. Find a link to the full newsletter in PDF form below.

August 2020I hope it finds you enjoying a safe and healthy summer amid the challenging and anxious days of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic. Life goes on under this cloud of concern, and we continue to serve the legal needs of our clients.

Our law offices are operating with utmost safety, limiting in-person visits as much as possible through the use of telephone and video conferencing. For when in-person meetings are required, we maintain strict cleanliness and sanitation within the office. Staff members wear facial coverings and maintain safe distancing, and we ask clients who visit to also to observe these practices.

The August 2020 newsletter features a handful on informative articles. They cover:

  • How a personal care contract, for a relative to receive payment for taking care of an aging loved one, can be a used as a key part of Medicaid planning;
  • Whether Medicare will cover a Coronavirus vaccine shot, once one becomes available;
  • A new study that finds a modest pay raise for nursing home workers could save 15,000 lives a year;
  • How the often-criticized “Widow’s Tax” on military benefits to surviving spouses finally is being phased out.

Should you have questions on these topics or any Elder Law, Probate, Estate Planning or Special Needs Law matter, please contact us. Call our offices in Worthington at 614-407-7900, send an email to [email protected] or fill our Contact form at ElderLaw.US/Contact.

Until next month, please stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

Richard F. Meyer, Esq.
