Dear Clients and Referral Partners,

Yesterday we issued our August 2022 client e-newsletter. If you did not receive it by email, please see the below link to open it in full PDF form from our website.

The August 2022 edition includes three articles with important information for our Elder Law clientele. The articles cover:

  • Involuntary discharges or transfers from nursing homes: People in this situation may not know their rights under federal law and may be hesitant to speak up. But there are many protections to keep in mind if you or your loved one are facing a nursing home eviction.
  • Emergency contacts and medical info: If you have a smart phone, you should spend some time updating the emergency contacts and medical information in it. This little bit of effort can be a huge help to first responders, and a life saver in medical emergencies.
  • Medigap policies: These policies offer the same exact coverage by law, but premiums vary widely. Get quotes from more than one agent, and make sure to include pertinent personal details to choose your coverage. The extra effort could save thousands of dollars a year.

I hope you find the August 2022 articles informative and a good read. This newsletter, our website at ElderLaw.us, and our Facebook page are all intended to share timely Elder Law news with you.

Our knowledgeable staff is available to answer specific questions and deal with your individual circumstances. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for help. Call 614-407-7900, send an email to [email protected], or fill out the contact form on our website at elderlaw.us/contact.

Sincerely,

Richard F. Meyer, Esq.
