What is Elder Law?

Elder Law is the practice of specially-trained attorneys who can help you protect your assets in the event of illness and dispose of your assets upon your demise, all while minimizing taxes and other problems.  Elder Law is not, as the name would imply, limited to the elderly.  It also encompasses planning for disabled individuals and those with special needs.  Elder Law attorneys address long term care and estate planning needs of each individual based on his or her unique situation.

Do you do planning for people that are not elderly?
Yes, definitely. We provide professional, individualized legal service for persons of all ages.  Everyone should have basic estate planning documents in place, and we can tailor those to your specific needs.  We are also known for our ability to help families plan for disabled children or adults.

Do you offer free initial consultations?

We can arrange a free 15 minute phone consultation for you with one of the attorneys.  During this consultation, you will be able to brief the attorney on your needs or situation and he can let you know if we can be of assistance and what fees are involved.

How are fees determined? Do you charge by the hour?

The fees will be determined by the attorney at your first meeting.  Most of our work is done on a flat fee basis so that you know the total bill at the onset.  You will receive a fee letter with the fee(s) listed.  If there are multiple stages or options, the letter will state the fee for each planning option.

What are your hours? Are you open on Saturday?

Our office hours are 8:30AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday. Our attorneys are available for weekend meetings by appointment.

How do I schedule an appointment or phone consultation?

Phone consultations can be scheduled by our receptionist for a time that the attorney will be available. Appointments can be scheduled by the attorney if you have a phone consultation with them or by calling our receptionist.

Where are you located?

Our office is conveniently located at 450 W. Wilson Bridge Road, Suite 380, just south of Interstate 270 in Worthington, Ohio.
